E bay Fraud
I purchased an item on e bay on 10/17/2025 , it was stated that delivery would take 2 to 3 Days, the item also said no returns, I purchased this item expecting it on the 22nd , it never arrived m after spending hours investigating on e bay which obstructed the entire way thru, I verified this Item had NOT shipped , and NO information was available, with this ; I wrote to eBay requesting they cancel this order , they replied they would NOT, No stated reason . MY reason was simple I ordered an Item and Paid for it m I paid additional shipping cost of 93 dollars to have this Item shipped from Illonis to NY , preposterous by us mail and Fed EX , regardless I needed it right away and expected it on time especially after being defrauded for this sum, the item weighing 15 lbs would not demand such a fee , after receiving a response from eBay declining to Cancel, I received a text from the seller , advising me the item was being shipped this being 3 am EST. you tell me , ; you make a purchase , Pay for the Item, {ay the Tax and Shipping, and the Seller Fails to Hold up to the AGREEDMENT to DELIVER in 2 to 3 days , then on the 6th day after the purchase sends a notice that they are shipping the item , and when you write to eBay to Cancel they Decline to Cancel when CLEARLY the SELLER DEFAULTED on their agreement , do I not have the Right to Cancel , Fact is I do have that RIGHT , the SELLER gave it to me when they FAILED to DELIVER , causing holds ups and additional Cost , this is Unacceptable , and I want EVERY e BAY user made aware of this Scam , especially the cost of shipping from Illinois to Ny, Fed Ex will also be notified of this and given the shipping label, then e Bay can explain how a CHINA BASED seller is Selling products in the US thru a local stateside provider , this is FRAUD plain and simple

Only the seller can cancel, because only the seller knows if the item has shipped yet or not. Not all sellers provide tracking, and even when sellers do, not all shipments receive an acceptance scan or timely tracking updates. So you have no way of knowing for sure if the item has already shipped or not. The date range provided by eBay is an estimate, not a guarantee.
The day after the last estimated delivery date, the buyer can file an "item not received" case with eBay. The seller will then have three business days to provide tracking that shows delivery or else refund the buyer. If the seller does not cooperate, at that point the buyer can ask eBay to step in and force a refund, for up to twenty-one business days from starting the case before eBay closes the case without a refund.
Pick your sellers wisely; if you do not want to do business with sellers based overseas, check the seller's feedback page carefully to see where the seller is registered and if there are any signs of overseas shipments or other warning signs. If there is not enough information about past sales to make a reasonable judgement, find a more experienced seller to do business with.

OP10 months agoThanks , I acted on my mechanics text and brought it assuming it would be overnighted given the shipping amount , I verified with Fed ex that shipping would be anywhere from 25 to 35 dollars , I paid 93.15, and I did expect it over night , I also knew it could be delayed , so I gave them 3 days more , when I checked after the 4th day , fed ex had NO information on this. it was only after i complained to both e bay and the seller did I get a reply at 3 am my time stating they had just shipped and it wont be here for an additional 4 days, if this is the economy, we are screwed . !! I brought it initially on the premise that I would get it asap. I did not consider I would have to contact the seller 5 times, e bay I stopped counting the times , I have to wait the time now that my entire job is delayed at an expense far more than this p.o.s , item cost, Lesson : // I did learn it , I wont by another thing from e bay , that solves that

Not a good assumption unless the listing explicitly stated that.
eBay sellers run the gamut from individual part-time sellers to professional company warehouse operations and everything in between.
