Duty
I bought a Taylor guitar case, an older one. They are made in the US and Mexico. I was charged import duty by Ebay on the transaction. We have free trade (I'm in Canada). How do I get this back from Ebay as it should not be charged in the first place.

All countries have import limits. Above that, import tax is imposed by your government. eBay is very good at applying import tax laws.
In the US, I can import $800 tax free - where it comes from does not matter. I found this page from Canada border services for you - it says your tax free limit is $40 when coming from the US -
