Double shipping charge
I sold an item where the buyer paid for shipping. And then when I printed the label from home, eBay made me pay for shipping as well and I did not get reimbursed once the product was received by buyer and funds went through. Do why did both the buyer and I have to pay for shipping the same item?

The buyer pays you the shipping and you use that to purchase the label.
The buyer's payment to eBay includes the item, the shipping you set on your listing, and any tax they owe. eBay takes their selling fees out and sends you the balance.

OP6 months agoThat is what I thought would happen. However, the buyer paid $65 for a $50 item ($15 was shipping). I paid $15 for the shipping label assuming I would be reimbursed after the funds were released. I received $40, paid eBay $10 in fees and did not get my $15 reimbursement for the shipping label.

OP6 months agoMy credit card was charged $15 for shipping, the customer was charged $15 for shipping, eBay took the $15 from the customer for shipping and I never received a reimbursement. I received $40 for the product and paid $10 in fees. The additional $15 had been charged to my credit card for the shipping label which I never received a reimbursement for. Therefore eBay received $15 from the customer for shipping and $15 from my credit card that I paid to get the shipping label.
