Summary: drb11 reported an issue with a purchase where a paperweight never arrived, and after a series of complications, received an empty, poorly packaged box instead. Despite trying to resolve the issue with the seller and providing evidence, the seller did not respond, and eBay stated the case was closed. jacbarcollectibles advised checking with the payment source to possibly receive a chargeback since reopening the case with eBay was not an option.
I purchased a paperweight from a seller, but it never arrived.
The updates stated that it was lost in the LA distribution center.
After a reasonable amount of time, I asked the seller for a refund, but she refused. "Give it another week" she said. I told her okay to wait.
So the case was closed.
Surprisingly, I received an empty box with a large hole in it, but there was no paperweight. I sent pictures to the seller who refused to write back to me.
Apparently,this box was spinning around for several weeks at the LA postal distribution center.
Her packaging was terrible. Very small box with hardly any filling added to help protect the weight..
I wanted to reopen the case, but eBay told me it was closed.
How can I start a new case about this second part of the situation?
How do I get a refund from this seller?

Mentor1 week agoOnce closed a case cannot be reopened. Check with your payment source to see if you can receive a charge back.
