Don't ship by FexEx or your customer might get stuck with extra Postage Due.
I just sold a brand new model kit that weighed about one pound in the package. I paid the postage and bought the label for $7.06 on eBay. It was one of those dual labels with both USPS and FedEx bar codes. I dropped it off at the local postal substation because I live 35 miles from the nearest FedEx store.
My buyer just informed me that it arrived with $17.15 Postage Due. I can't believe this happened. I sold the kit for $24.95 and the total shipping cost was $24.21 ?? I can't believe why it would be so expensive for a one pound box. I am outraged!
Maybe I am missing something concerning this new shipping procedure where USPS plays a role in a FedEx delivery. In any case it is unlikely I will ever ship by FedEx ever again. FedEx just lost me as a customer for ever. And I advise you to be wary of this shipping scam. Don't ship by FedEx.
