Don't make the same mistake I have made for a few of the last transaction.
JUST SOME FYI. Even thou on the sellers profile it said China the seller advertises Fast and reliable. Ships from United States. Located in: Stoughton, Massachusetts, United States. So like a dummy I went ahead and ordered from them and now I receive Tracking number AG#########CN this is a China post tracking #. I would of never bought it had I known it was being shipped from China. now I have to buy locally at a much higher price I don't have a month or better to wait for the part. I blame eBay also for allowing this type of sellers to do this false advertisements to sell there products. In hind site should of wrote directly to seller to verified that they shipped from the USA I guess false advertisement is expectable in China. This has happen on two different purchases that I made with in two days. both waited three days to send tracking #.

Mentor3 years agoThe "US only" item location filter selects items that are listed as being in the United States; however, as you may have seen, not every seller that lists items in the US ships from the US as they should. You can report such sellers for item location misrepresentation, but until eBay actually cracks down, your best course of action is to avoid such sellers entirely.
Before ordering you should check the estimated delivery dates -- that is usually a good indication of how far away items actually ship from. Also, going to a seller's profile page or feedback page will tell you where the seller's account was registered. If a seller is registered overseas, that raises the likelihood of an item shipping from outside the US, particularly for multiple quantity commodity items. Checking seller feedback will often reveal if there are problems with long shipping times, canceled orders or other supply chain warning signs.
Note that some sellers registered overseas may have US warehouses where stock is shipped from, and this should be reflected in their delivery estimates. But sometimes those sellers may run out of stock in the US and have to ship from overseas, and that might not be reflected in the delivery estimates if it does not happen often.
Note also that some US-registered sellers advertising US item locations may be fulfilling orders by drop-shipping from overseas.

OP3 years agoShipping time was 4 days I always check thank you for the tips on other way's to see if the seller is legitimate. In reality as a buyer we should not have to do eBay's job of making sure the sellers claim is true. Funny how eBay does nothing about this even thou there are laws to protect consumers on this exact problem.
Regulations of False Advertising
The federal Lanham Act allows civil lawsuits for false advertising that “misrepresents the nature, characteristics, qualities, or geographic origin†of goods or services. 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a). The FTC also enforces false advertising laws on behalf of consumers.
States have their own laws regulating false advertising and other deceptive trade practices. California, for example, prohibits dissemination of information about products or services that is “untrue or misleading,†with both civil and criminal enforcement. CA Bus. & Prof. Code § 17500.
If I knew how to go about it I would love to start a class action suit against all the sellers and eBay. All thou I am sure eBay has itself protected for such a thing

The day after the last delivery estimate you can file an "item not received" case with eBay. The seller will have three business days to respond or make things right. After that, ask eBay to step in and refund you if the seller does not cooperate.
If the seller has to refund buyers due to long shipping times from overseas delivery of items that should have been shipped domestically, the seller may think twice about the practice.
Be sure to leave appropriate feedback but do not mention any eBay case or outcome. Just the facts that the item was listed as shipping domestically with a four day delivery estimate and the seller shipped from overseas with a much later delivery estimate.

OP3 years agoThank you for your response I will do the review as you have mentioned. I actually found that they are in violation of the Item location policy so hopefully eBay will follow thru and at least have them change their location again I thank you for your input.
