Donations?
Hi, I was going back through past purchases to see when last time bought new mower blades for my JD. Took me back to 2021. As I was scrolling down thru purchases I ran into at LEAST 2, "awaiting delivery" items. Was like "Huh?". One $5 to Alzheimer's and $2 to St. Jude's Children's hospital. DONATIONS!!!! They were
treated like an item "Purchased". See attached screenshot.
If I see a worthy cause, I have no problem donating something. My Dad and family suffered thru 6 yrs of Alzheimer's. Was this scam through the "would u like to donate?" Ebay or Paypal - forget where the option is or a pure theft? I never made ANY donation through some "Buy It Now", etc. How does one get "delivery" of a donation?
I know I never received an email saying I had "bought" a donation for ANYTHING.
My question to anyone, including Ebay/Paypal, is how did this person do this without my or your knowledge?
Is the cure to NEVER check that "Donate" box?
Thanks. Not much $$$, but even a dollar to a total thief is too much. BTW, I hope that whichever Co. responsible for this hack forwarded the $$$ in donations to the respective organizations.
