Domestic or foreign companies
Summary: jdra5585 expressed frustration with purchasing items on eBay, noting that estimated delivery times are often inaccurate due to sellers misrepresenting their locations as being within the United States. This results in longer delivery times from overseas. jacbarcollectibles advised that the delivery estimates are based on the seller's information, and recommended reporting such sellers to eBay for misrepresentation.
How come when I order something from eBay I always choose something that states it can be delivered within 2 to 4 business days and when I check the companies location after purchase , they are not domestic in the United States as stated. And the real companies are from China or Korea or Taiwan and the order takes 7 to 14 days to get here not 2 to 4 days as advertised???? I think eBay needs to crack down on this to give us the precise times and locations of the companies we are purchasing from. I don’t mind purchasing from overseas, but don’t lie and say it’ll be here in 2 to 4 business days. I Might have to just start going to Amazon because some of those items come the very next day.

"they are not domestic in the United States as stated. And the real companies are from China or Korea...".
The time to check the item location, and a seller's feedback profile is before you make a purchase not after you have done so. Many foreign registered sellers do drop ship from U.S. locations, they are warehouses in the U.S.
If you checked a seller's feedback profile after buying go back to it, to see if they have negative or neutral feedback for slow shipping, items not received, not as described etc. That should give you an indication of how reliable they are.

Mentor1 week agoThe delivery time estimate is based on the information provided by the seller. If they say the item is located in the USA then that is what eBay uses in their estimate. If the seller is actually shipping from outside he USA then you need to report this to eBay. eBay never sees the actual item so they do not know exactly where the item is shipping from. If enough buyers report the seller for this then eBay will take action against the seller.
