Do/How I need to return an item which was refunded?
hi,
i had purchased 'new' item from sell, but it's obviously used. so i requested return/refund. seller never bother to respond, and ebay's automated system closed the case in my favor so i got the full refund.
now, do i return the item? i dont want to pay for shipping since it's not my fault the item was not as described. i dont plan to use the item since it has grease stains all over, would just throw it away.
this is the first time i've needed to return an item to a private seller, normally i buy from companies like adidas or bestbuy.
below is the text from the return details:
You asked eBay to step in and help on Mar 13. Customer support will review the information you provided and provide details on their decision within 48 hours. Please view the case details for additional information.

Mentor5 months agoYou do not need to return the item to the seller. The seller had 3 days to respond to your return request. If the seller never responded and you Asked ebay to step in, ebay can refund from the seller's account and you do not need to return the item to the seller. Give it away, donate it, toss it, whatever.
