Does this look like a scam buyer?
Their account was created a day before they made an offer. The offer was much greater than the buyout price and their message was: “
thank you so much for accepting my offer as soon as you accept my offer please ask me if i have any question about the item and postage”
They also asked to be sent a video after I accept the offer, which I will not be sending. I did accept, but I won’t communicate with them outside of eBay or change the address for them.

Mentor5 months agoHi @kencla-7959 Is this the $175 pair of jeans? You have a low feedback score, and no feedback as a seller. Your buying feedback is older. You are going to attract scammers until your feedback score gets higher. They target new sellers with higher priced items. Because your feedback indicates you don't really know how eBay works and that's to the scammers advantage.
I hate to disagree with my esteemed colleague @gosimus, but whether they pay or not, you need to cancel this transaction and block the buyer. It is a total scam. You can cancel for the reason of Problem with buyer's address -- which believe me there is -- and your eBay seller fees will be refunded.
Then buy a few things on eBay and get your feedback score up and recent feedback before you list the jeans or anything over $50 again. Good luck!

The new account, requesting questions about item and postage, requesting a video . . . these things might be explained by the inexperience of the buyer. But making an Offer that's more than the Buy It Now? That goes beyond inexperience, that's verging on lunacy, in my humble opinion. I don't blame you for smelling a fish.
You've accepted the Offer, so you're committed now. If the buyer pays, you have to ship their item. When the buyer doesn't pay, then after four days, cancel the transaction, choosing "Buyer hasn't paid" as the reason. This will get your fees credited back to you.
