Does the description in my listings dictate the ranking when listed?
I have only been on Ebay for a few years now and I'm still learning my new job... I made a template that I put into the items description saying the same thing on every listing. Just like, Items have not been cleaned, ask questions before purchasing, and things commonly related. My question is this, Because the listing's all have the same input in them, Will this harm my listing's as far as hiding them for being repetitive in the eye's of the algorithm is concerned? or am I just overthinking things? 😅

OP1 year agoThank you for all the advice with the feed back. It is hard to find information on the more exclusive information other than the obvious things. I worded this kinda wrong, really I should of said "Condition", instead of description. I normally drop my insert text inside of both place's and have the AI do the description. I do this to try to speed up the listing process which will allow me to list more. I have been having slow sale's here lately a crossed my three store's on Ebay and I'm to chase down the reason's why? All I can really think of is it's do to my listing quality. I have many different items throughout my store's, but all have been suffering from the same results. I don't make my listings from scratch I only sell similar from items already listed. I share my Ebay shipping discount with my buyer's, I use calculated shipping, and research all my price's with still minimum results. I hate to cash in my chip's on these store's, but I'm loosing the fight... Any input would be helpful... I can't survive this way. Does Ebay offer anything ? I'm promoting, I run sale's and still nothing to show for it... maybe because my store's are all under my name and they spread the sale's a cross each store ?? I'm not sure 😣

Looked through some of your listings on this ID to see what you are selling. Your listings look good and your feedback is great. Plush animals, dolls, toys etc. can be a challenge right now as buyers are cutting back on nonessential items.
My only advice is to look hard at what you have for sale, what is actually selling, and concentrate on those items that have good sell through rates. Look at what it costs you to operate your stores and see if it makes sense to simplify and/or downsize to cut costs.

OP1 year agoThank you, I will do just that . 😠Do you think it matter's if I share my shipping discount with the buyer's? I'm also promoting at 6% should I raise it ? I'm needing to save some cost.

Having the same terms in every listing is fine, most sellers do that.
I looked at one of your listings with your terms in the description and do have some feedback. Try to shorten it up, your paragraph is a big block of text that is likely to not be read. It is a bit repetitive regarding contacting you with issues before opening cases or leaving feedback.
If an item uses batteries and they are not included that information needs to be stated prominently in the description and possibly in the title and condition box.
Keep in mind that most buyers use their phones and only look at your title and first picture. Unfortunately they rarely look at the description.
