The item description says, "open box, used", confusing! According to eBay On eBay, "open box" refers to items that have been opened but are still in excellent, new condition. These items may be missing original packaging or protective wrapping, and they could have been used for testing or display purposes. Open box items are not to be confused with used or refurbished products; they are typically customer returns or display models that have not been significantly used.
This item appeared to be un-used in the pictures however the pictures are stock photos that every seller is using. Not photos of the actual item received. Pictures in the listing show RED factory warning label on the side and RED factory operating label on bottom that were not in place when received, so not “Open Box Liquidation as Pictured†For my part, the day before I received the regulator, I purchased a full tank of acetylene gas from the same company I have used for 30 years. All tanks are weighed before sale to make sure they are full. When I attach the regulator to the full tank the gage only reads between 1/2 full & empty. When I emailed the seller, his response was "We are very competitive on price and always try to offer the lowest price. As we stated in the listing. This exact same item currently sells for $56.99 on Amazon you can verify it for yourself by searching asin number B0DHYPHBKZ or UPS number 764269916150 so the price you paid was already way less than Amazon". But I was shopping and did not buy from an Amazon seller. I searched Amazon and eBay for best price. As the seller said, he offered the lowest price & I bought it. If he priced it too low, that's not my problem. If he knew it was used, he should have tested it and indicated so before selling it. What I asked for was a replacement gage that worked, I would install myself, Am I wrong?

I doubt you are wrong but I also doubt the Seller will send you another gage ... I think the Seller just sort of blew you off with their Amazon comparison. You can certainly try working with them but below is what we would share with Buyers getting something that is obviously not as described.
You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Go to the item in your Purchase history and file a RETURN using the reason "Does not match pictures or description". eBay will issue you a pre-paid return shipping label regardless of the Seller's return policy. You return the item and the Seller will have 2 days to refund you. Failing that you go back to the claim and ask eBay to step in and force the refund.
