Does eBay still accept Vanilla VISA Prepaid Gift Cards (from Canada) as a form of Payment for items?
Hello! Over the last year or so I've been paying for items that I purchased on eBay using Vanilla VISA Prepaid Gift Cards (I live in Canada where the cards are sold). I've purchased and used multiple of these cards successfully on eBay to pay for items with no problems at all (including very recently). Last night (Wednesday, August, 16th 2023), I bought an item and went to pay the seller for it and my Vanilla VISA Prepaid Gift Card was declined much to my surprise. There was more than enough value on the card to pay for the item I bought. I also made sure to enter my card information correctly. I'm using the latest version of the browser that I use. I also cleared my browsing data cache from my computer and browser as well.
My question is "Is eBay no longer accepting Vanilla VISA Prepaid Gift Cards as a form of payment? " I contacted someone at customer service at "Vanilla Prepaid" and they said that some online retailers (like eBay, Amazon etc.) aren't accepting VISA Gift Cards as payment anymore due to the fact that these credit cards don't have a person's name attached to them. You purchase and pay for the cards up front from an authorized retailer and then use them to purchase items in stores or shop online with them. Is this the new policy from eBay? I really like these VISA Gift Credit Cards because there's no high Interest Rate Charges that are associated with regular Credit Cards. With these cards you pay for the card plus a small activation fee and that's it. In other words you pay for what you can afford in value on these type of cards and you can't go over the limit and then be stuck with high Interest Charges for what you've purchased.
I apologize for the long, rambling message but I was shocked when my Vanilla VISA Card was rejected for my purchase. Has anyone else had this experience recently? If someone (possibly from Canada) could respond to this message that would be most appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance.

You really should inquire on the Ebay Canada site.
