eBay collects sales tax based on each state's sales tax laws. I couldn't find any states that give a sales tax exemption to veterans (I see other types of tax exemptions, but not sales tax). You can check with your state's department of revenue to find out for sure.

·2 years agoOnly if YOUR state has the exemption. Are you getting it at the local store? On the tax or on the price? Sellers (and marketplace facilitators) cannot just decide to exempt someone from sales tax that the buyer owes to the state/local governments.
