Was it the $ 900 digital camera?
The Buyer picked a reason that bypasses your No returns accepted setting. That setting has limited protection and many Buyers know that and how to game the system. You should consider Accepting returns for the future.
How did you respond to the claim? When you received the item back did you issue the refund through the eBay claim within the 2 day period you were given? If not then you will NOT get your FVFs back from eBay plus you will get a defect on your account for not resolving the issue via the claim. eBay only "takes" if you do not "give" the refund yourself so we need to know what happened.

OP9 months agoi was communicating with Ebay and they told me to hold off til it was resolved. The issue is I asked the buyer for info as to what was defective or damaged and could they send photos or show me the box. I initiated ins claim and they said buyer should hold on to it. I got it back and there is absolutely nothing worng with the camera

Okay, glad you got it back. FIRST thing you do is use the Report Buyer link on the sold item, the Buyer has abused the eBay return system. This supports what I mentioned up thread, Buyers know how to game the system and get around the No returns accepted policy, this is a perfect example of how easily it is done.
If you refunded through the claim then you got your fees back unless you withheld money from the Buyer. Since you got the item back there is no need for an insurance claim of pictures from the Buyer.
I would suggest offering some lower cost items for sale and gain more experience in Selling before offering higher value items.
Add that Buyer to your Blocked list on this page: Buyer management | eBay
That page also has a lot of other good information for you to review.

Was a not as described dispute filed and you disputed it? If you did an it was found in favor of the buyer, you can be charged the final value fees and possibly a dispute fee. If you did not challenge the dispute and refunded the full amount the buyer paid you may get a credit for the fees.

You may want to read ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG) policy. It trumps a No Returns policy if a not as described/received damaged dispute is filed.
