Does Ebay even verify Tracking info before making a decision?
Straight up bogus......
I had an item I ordered say it was delivered. (Which was weird as it never showed up in my informed delivery for USPS)
and sure enough I never got anything. So I contact the seller and nothing gets solved so I have to wait until the day comes that I can get eBay to step in and help me.
But I wake up at 6AM to do exactly that before work and see that at 2AM the seller had gotten eBay to step in and they sided with the seller?????
First off I had already stated when I called USPS that they told me they couldnt even tell me where this package with the tracking number on my purchase was at because it didnt match my info and to contact eBay about it. And when you look up the tracking info it doesnt even have an address. Just the city state and zip code???
But either way I have pictures of my informed delivery page showing my address and my packages and shows packages that were actually delivered to my address recently (with dates even before and after when this item was apparently delivered)
however none of those packages have a tracking number that matches the one for my order.
HOW IN THE WORLD CAN EBAY SIT THERE AND SAY THAT THEY CAN VERIFY THAT THIS PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED TO THE CORRECT ADDRESS WHEN I HAVE EVIDENCE THAT IT NEVER CAME TO MY ADDRESS AND SIDE WITH THE SELLER????
Even if you only looked up the tracking number you wouldnt be able to verify that lol and they make it impossible for me to even try and get in contact with anyone about this. The chat bot and my case say the decision is final but I havnt even had a chance to show my evidence, which I have screenshots that can prove I never got my item.
Nice.

OP8 months ago*UPDATE*
I tried to submit the appeal but it said I couldn't. So I ended up talking on the phone with somebody and they told me there was nothing they could do and that all that is checked is if it shows delivered and that some people abuse this and others don't........
Obviously I'm in the wrong line of work. But sad that now I know never to buy ofc eBay ever again and I'm just glad this was over a $30 item and not a $300 or $3,000 item.

Mentor8 months agoThe bots see that tracking states DELIVERED so you will automatically lose an Item Not Received case.
Take the tracking down to the carrier and have them check their GPS coordinates to see exactly where the package was delivered. Then you upload a copy of that letterhead into an appeal, to get your money back. If not to your address, the carrier should try and retrieve the package.

Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.

OP8 months agoI already asked about the gps coordinates with USPS and they said they cant give me that info because the package with the tracking number doesn't match my name or address. So they cant/wont give me that info for privacy reasons.
But I'll also try the second part of that as well

OP8 months agoNice eBay gave an update on my order stating that the decision is final and I can't appeal.
THIS IS CRAZY I CAN LITERALLY PROVE I NEVER GOT THE PACKAGE???
What do I even do? USPS tells me I need to tell eBay that I was given wrong tracking number and they can't give any info on the package with the tracking number provided with my Informed Delivery account for my address not showing any packages that match that tracking number or really any packages at all after my purchase date and eBay is not wanting to even look at my evidence or even talk to me about this **bleep**
