Does Ebay allow drop shipping from Amazon now?
I don't buy from Amazon. Several of my purchases on Ebay, show up from Amazon. I thought this was a practice ebay frowned upon. Does anyone know for sure?

By avoiding doing business with drop-shippers generally, you can avoid retail drop-shippers and triangulation scammers specifically.
Note that there are some sellers that use Amazon to deliver stock they actually already own, but this sort of drop-shipping is generally done using non-Amazon packaging.
It may not be possible to always identify in advance those sellers who drop-ship, but it is possible to identify some common characteristics of illicit retail drop-shippers or other under-performing sellers, and thus avoid the worst of them.
Often they can be spotted by a combination of low feedback number, free shipping of heavy items where it would not be profitable to use retail shipping, use of stock photos, high handling time (not necessarily if they are using Amazon, though), poor feedback received with complaints of delays and wrong items or out of stock cancellations, very odd item selection and/or quantities like items were chosen at random from a catalog, canned item descriptions scraped from another site, differences between registration location on the feedback page and item location (or vague item location -- like "US, United States"), or inability to answer even basic questions about the items being sold.

Mentor1 year agoIn addition to the previous reply, if you are receiving an item you ordered from an ebay seller arriving in an Amazon package with a Gift receipt, that is not allowed. The seller is advertising an item for sale on ebay, and when it is purchased, the seller uses his/her prime account to make the purchase and send onto the buyer. That practice is NOT allowed by ebay nor Amazon. Report this practice to both platforms. Leave calm appropriate feedback.

Mentor1 year agoMany sellers on eBay also sell on Amazon and use their fulfillment service to ship all of their sales. As long as this is what is happening then eBay and Amazon are OK with this. eBay does not allow sellers to sell items and then find the item available from another seller to be shipped to you. The seller needs to have a contract with a drop shipping company to be eBay legal.
