Does EBay actually police sellers deliberately posting in the wrong catagory?

There's a seller who regularly posts unrelated items in a category I search frequently. This isn't someone posting something similar but of a different era, this is someone posting totally unrelated items. Does EBay even police that, or is it a waste of time to report?

There are over a billion listings on eBay and they are changing every minute. eBay has bots that scan the site for violations, but they don't catch all of them. That's why there is a report link on every item listing. You can report the seller's items for search and browse manipulation.

If there are a lot of items for this seller that are miscategorized, then it might be easier to report the seller here:

I doubt it is a high priority issue for eBay unless fee-avoidance is involved.

It might be worth excluding that seller's items from your search using the Advanced Search. If you go directly from your search results to the Advanced Search page, you can select up to ten sellers to exclude from your search. If you bookmark or save the search, you can use that saved search as a starting point and continue to exclude those sellers from your results.
