Does an international buyer have to pay 2 fees? Import and export????
 
Someone wants to buy my item, but eBay is telling them they have to pay a $65 import and a $40 export fee. **bleep**???? Makes no sense. I’ve never seen this before.
Anyone have any idea?

It may be the international shipping cost and then tariffs.

Mentor10 months agoThis is what I am seeing when viewed as a buyer from Italy. ( I think that the language was Italian in your screenshot)
The first fee is shipping the second fee they are seeing is tariff/ import fee. They can choose to defer payment for the tariff and pay when they pick up in their country OR prepay now.
FYI> You can see this on your listings by going to the shipping and viewing as a buyer and then changing your location. Just change it back afterwards or you will wonder why you can't see some sellers listings, or why shipping is so high. Ask me how I know. 🤣

I’ve never seen the “view as buyer†thing before. That’s great.
I couldn’t find a way to do it inside the app or even on a web browser your phone. Assuming it has to be a desktop computer. I’m gonna try to find it when I get to my PC.

Mentor10 months agoAlthough Customs fees are part of the eBay International Shipping program payment any tariffs imposed by the buyers country are not. Many countries have imposed retaliatory tariffs on goods from the USA in response to the administrations tariff policy against their country.
