You do need a bank account to sell on eBay. eBay no longer sends seller payouts through PayPal like they used to. Payouts are made directly to your linked checking account. Venmo isn’t supported for receiving eBay sales funds either.
When you set up your seller account, eBay will ask for your bank account information. It must be a checking account in your name that matches your eBay account name.
