Do eBay authenticators work week of Christmas?
I have an irate buyer because the item I sent UPS ground December 16th (in accordance with listing) has an anticipated arrival date of Jan 2 but she was hoping for about a week turn. I told her I could not guarantee a ship time but told her in my experience, items are authenticated and shipped out the very same day (lightening fast turnaround). My experience has been UPS ground takes about 3 days to arrive to the authenticator from where I live (this time, UPS quoted me 6 days, so maybe holiday slower). After the authenticator ships, my non holiday experience is I typically see it delivered to the buyer in 3-4 days after it leaves the authenticator. Does anyone know (or eBay can you pipe in?) whether authenticators are working Friday December 22, 26-30, 2023 so
my buyer can get her package earlier than the estimated Jan 2 arrival? Does everyone see slower UPS ground over holidays?

Mentor2 years agoAll shipping services are slower during the holidays as are the authenticators who have a very heavy volume of orders to get through as well. There is no reason for your buyer to expect the package sooner than the estimated delivery date. If anything, it could be a little late. (The authentication process is built into the estimated delivery date.)
