Do bidders count as watchers?

Question

I was wondering, do bidders count as watchers?

Let's say I have an item with no bids and 4 watchers, then a watcher places a bid. Is it now 1 bid and 3 watchers, or is it now 1 bid and still 4 watchers?

Watchers are users who put the listing on their Watch List. While I highly recommend doing so with any auction listing you are going to bid on so it can always be found in one particular place, it is not necessary for a user to do so before bidding.

Placing a bid does not remove a listing from your Watch List, so in your example it would be 1 bid (1 bidder, which is more important for your measurements) and 4 watchers.

Bids are bids and Watchers are Watchers and View are Views and Sales are sales ...

You can sell an auction with 300 bids and 1 Watcher OR 1 bid and 300 Watchers.

A change in one of those values does not affect the other value.
