Disputing UPS package shipping adjustments.

Question

I was charged for shipping adjustments for 4 packages that were shipped in one of the 2 dimensional size boxes I use. The charges were exhorbatent! 40-$50 up charge when the items werent even that much. UPS says I have to go through ebay. Last time I reached out to ebay they said I have to deal with ups for any shipping claims. How do I dispute and resolve this , being neither side wants to take on the responsibility of the dispute?

@naturescandy1969 Only eBay customer service can file the dispute since they are the UPS customer.

I recommend contacting CS on social media to ask them to do this. Keep in mind that UPS does sometimes add incorrect surcharges but there are CORRECT surcharges that you can read about on the UPS website.

Personally if I have an item that is too large or heavy to ship via USPS then I use UPS and buy the label from PIrateship.com. Pirateship helps with insurance claims and surcharge disputes. UPS does have a list of valid surcharges on their website too. UPS does not add surcharges as often as Fed Ex does.

Social media is the best way to contact customer service for this issue.

Here's how to contact eBay general customer service. ( I feel that it's ok to use this option since it does affect your bottom line.)

Then Type PAYOUT In the chat bot box on the lower right.

Then AGENT after the bot responds. You might have to repeat those steps.

Or you can also contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.
