Dispute resolution requires me to return an item that was missing from my order
I ordered two items from a seller. They were shipped together, with a single tracking number, and the package contained only one of the items. The seller wouldn't refund me for the missing item, so I opened a dispute. It was just found in my favor, but in order to get my refund, I'm being told to return the item--yes, the item i didn't receive. What to do?

Mentor3 weeks agoYou needed to open a Return Request for an Item not as Described, missing item. You may still have to return the one item that did arrived or seller can offer a refund or reship the missing item. You can try to now open the correct case, but if that is blocked or seller won't help you will have to file a dispute through the payment processor.

OP3 weeks agoFirst for an item not received, but that didn't work because the seller's tracking showed the package delivered (the package that supposedly contained both items but arrived containing only one). I was then advised by ebay to try again calling it a return and include an explanation of what happened. That’s what they just supposedly resolved, though obviously I can’t send back an item I didn’t get.
