Dispute missing item
The name and address the seller put on my package was wrong per Fed ex - yet since it shows to seller that it was
delivered eBay wants to close my case. Yes it was delivered and signed for - but not by me and at an address not even close to ours. Is there a phone number for eBay to help me settle this ?

I'm sorry that happened.
1) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask FedEx if they will put this in writing. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps here:
2) Then, report the seller using this process

Important, select "The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:

- https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
Just sent a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
Let me know how this goes, I've been burned a few times myself (including on Amazon), but I have been able to get a refund following this process.
There are additional steps to take if the above isn't effective, just come back and update me.

OP11 months agoOk - great! Will hit this tomorrow - wish us luck! I actually have 3 purchases from this same seller - only one shows delivered - the other two have no tracking info on them - just says shipped.

OP11 months agoOmg-i used the Facebook link and sent a message. Spent about an hour messaging back and forth with a person who documented everything and added to the reports I had made. She assured me that all 3 transactions with the buyer would be totally refunded and the seller reported. I hope the seller becomes blocked. All eBay has to do is read the feedbacks left by tons of unhappy people that went thru almost exactly what i have. Crazy!! So - thank you whoever you are for saving me!!
