dispute for item not received. eBay reviews, refunds (no seller fault) Items arrive
Tracking showed as delayed but buyer requested refund if had not been shipped. It was clearly stated item was shipped and scanned. eBay reviews and immediately gives a refund with no fault seller. Next day tracking shows Item delivered. Does eBay rescind the refund as buyer has item?

-First we need to be clear on exactly what happened:
-Did you print your shipping label through eBay? If so tracking automatically uploaded to the sold item
-If not did you manually add a tracking number after purchasing it elsewhere?
-Did the Buyer file a claim through eBay that they did not receive their item?
-If so, did you upload tracking from the transaction to the claim?
-If so but no delivery happened did you refund through the claim or did you wait to see what eBay would od and then eBay refunded instead? (if eBay had to close the claim you received a defect on your account for not resolving an issue)
eBay recently launched a new Seller Protection for sellers who print their labels through eBay. If a Seller loses a Buyer’s claim that they did not receive their item and refunded the Buyer then eBay will reimburse the Seller IF the package is delivered later and tracking confirms the delivery.
So to review the new Seller Protection:
-Seller has to purchase the label through eBay and get a scan by the carrier to validate tracking uploaded within their Handling time
-Buyer has to file a claim that they did not receive the item AND the seller has to refund them through the claim
-If the item is delivered AFTER the refunded claim and confirmed with tracking the Seller will get reimursed for the transaction

OP7 months agoLabel was bought thur eBay, tracking was available to buyer. Refund was paid from eBay not from my funds as I was not at fault. My query is, does eBay reverse the refund as the buyer now has refund and product. Should I contact buyer and have them return item or will eBay do so?

Mentor7 months agoSince eBay refunded from their own funds and you kept the original buyer payment the buyer can keep the item and the refund eBay made. If the buyer was forced to return the item then eBay would expect you to repay eBay.
