Dispute credit card charges
Seller shipped counterfeit American gold coin. I have made that report to EBay. Can I, in good faith, dispute the credit card sale? Does that leave EBay in a bad position?

Mentor3 weeks agoYou must first open an "Item not as described" case through eBay. If you were to go to your credit card first then eBay will have nothing more to do with the purchase and any decision by your CC company will be final even if it is not in your favor.

OP3 weeks agoThank you Sir,
I have never been a seller, I assume EBay withholds sellers proceeds for a while?

Mentor3 weeks ago@tailhook1000 yes eBay does hold funds based on a sellers history, length of time selling, etc.
However all refunds come from the Sellers back up payment method for selling costs. If the seller doesn't refund you from a return request case then you ask eBay step in and help on the 4th business day. eBay then forces a refund from the sellers account.
