Dispute
We placed your case on hold
Hello a
We're reaching out to follow up on your recent transaction and the case that was opened up for the item below:
RH -150-SS Ready Hot Compact Instant Hot Water Dispenser Tank
I received this email from ebay after a refund was issued.
RH -150-SS Ready Hot Compact Instant Hot Water Dispenser Tank
I received this email from ebay after a refund was issued.
Why are they sending this to me? Do they believe I tried to defraud them? Why don't they just complete their "investisgation" and if theer is an issue then let m know. I like saying we think you may have defrauded us but we don't know. How unprofessional!
After reviewing the case details, we asked the seller to provide additional documentation.
We've placed the case on hold for 5 days to allow time to get the documentation needed. Once the decision has been made, you’ll be notified of the outcome via email. We’ll reach out within 48 hours after the hold ends.
Thank you for your patience, we're glad you're part of our community.

From what you posted, eBay did not say they think you defrauded them, they alerted you to an investigation which will delay the outcome by a few days. Apparently, what the seller is saying about the transaction doesn't match what you are saying. eBay wants to determine what actually happened if possible so they can resolve the dispute. Usually the seller covers the refund, but in a small number of cases, eBay does.
Don't read into the message something that isn't there.

OP5 months agoThank you for your reply but there is still no need for them to inform me about this as they already issued a full refund. There is nothing I can do so why worry me with this.

Glad you got your refund. I wouldn't spend time worrying about an email from a company who ends their message with, "Thank you for your patience, we're glad you're part of our community."

Mentor5 months ago@adriaskile0 The seller may be trying to dispute the refund.
There is nothing more you can do at this time. I wouldn't worry since 99.999999% of cases are ruled in the buyers favor unless the buyer has a history of return abuse.
