Dishonest buyer
Recently, I had a buyer that left terrible feedback in which she stated that she was unable to message me with complaints and unable to file a dispute.
There's no logical reason that she'd be unable to perform those actions.
I'm starting to think that she was attempting to secure a private refund without going through the proper ebay channels.
I've contacted customer support and found that they're unable to offer me protection.
I've had a couple of possible scammers over the years but have never dealt with this.
She opened her ebay account the day that she bought my item and has no other activity, buying or selling.
Is it a fake account and was this a weird attempt to lower my feedback score and turn away future potential buyers?
My score was at 100% which shows that I value good sales and happy buyers. After her feedback, it dropped to 97%.
Unfair is an understatement.
Has anyone else dealt with this?
I'm trying to think outside of the box here because I just don't get it

Mentor3 years agoMessage the buyer and ask them to open a return. Tell them how to do it. They would need to send the item back and then you could refund. Would you be willing to pay return shipping? Having free returns is easier than explaining that you don't take returns.

·3 years agoThe buyer not being able to send a message, I believe that with all the glitches.
Since they are new, they probably don't know how to start return.
If it was stored in a closed bag, it could have a bad smell if it was in there long.
