Discriminated against by eBay
Summary: censore-36 is experiencing issues with eBay after updating their banking information to a credit union account. Despite providing all requested documentation, eBay continues to claim verification issues while still deducting seller fees from the account. This has led censore-36 to consider canceling their account and switching to a different platform, feeling discriminated against by eBay's actions.
I have had nothing but problems with eBay lately and wonder if anyone else has experienced this problem that eBay created! Back in August I changed my bank card information to a credit union and eBay paid me 5 transactions on items sold, then I updated my bank information and bank account to my new credit union information, shortly after that I kept getting messages that read “update your banking information” but everyone knows that credit union don’t include account numbers on bank statements. So I called the bank and they sent me a voided check sheet showing all bank information including, account, ssn, address and my full name like eBay stated they needed! Now eBay is claiming they still need a statement but I just noticed they took seller fees from the account they are saying they can’t verify! My card is still active on the account for payouts but eBay has made attempts to do an express payment to that card since this all started! So now I’m considering just canceling my account and using a different app to sell my products! Hope all is well for everyone else but this seems to be discrimination against me at this point!!!

Mentor1 month agoIt appears you just have some misunderstandings. Ebay is not treating you differently or trying to cause you grief. You just need to provide the information they require. Since Ebay became our money processor back in 2019, there are many legal requirements they have to adhere to. I'm confident that some of those requirements don't make sense to all of us, but still Ebay MUST comply.
