Disappointed with eBay.
I had the worse experience with eBay than I ever had. I was looking at an item, blue jeans that stated to make an offer. it had a minimum bid of 17.00 I checked it off to see if they might accept it but eBay went and charged my account for the bid that I did not intend to buy. what makes things worse was when the jeans came they had a price tag on them for 12.99 plus there was a 10.00 shipping charge. I paid a total of 27.74 for a 12.99 pair of jeans. 15.00 dollars more than I could have bought at Rural King 30 minutes away for 12. 99. I don't think I will ever buy from eBay again.

OP2 years agoIn my case, I wasn't made aware that the gallon of milk was actually worth 23% lower than the lowest bid that was acceptable by the seller, and I didn't agree that eBay had the authority to pay with my account that I hadn't authorized. To eBays credit they did make it right. so thanks to them. I will never go to a seller account again that are taking bids. In my situation, the product was priced at 12.99 . on the tag on product and the lowest bid was 17. dollars

Mentor2 years agoWhen you make an offer, you commit to buy the item if the seller accepts it. If you want to communicate with the seller before committing to a purchase, you can use the contact seller link on the listing to ask your questions.
As for the price, do your comparison shopping before you buy, not after. The seller sets the price, and the buyer decides to buy or not.
(I shop at two grocery stores. One sells a 1/2 gallon of milk for almost $2.00 more than the other. I chose to buy milk at either store based on convenience. I don't complain to the store about the price difference. I'm the buyer - I make the decision to buy or not.)
