DIMM weight calculations and not actual weight
I would like to know why almost all of our UPS shipping labels incure additional fees after the fact. When researching this on EBAY it states that UPS uses DIMM (dimensional weight) and not actual weight. My issue is we use new, pre-made, pre-printed boxes when shipping items so the dimensions are printed on each box. However UPS states that the dimensions are wrong (boxes are larger than printed size states) even though a tape measure proves the size is correct. They then state the DIMM weight is more so the fees are more and charge us accordingly. How do I calculate the actual shipping cost if filling in the EBAY shipping answers does not equate to the actual shipping fee?
