difficult to get live help from ebay
I am being asked as a seller to accept a return of a fishling reel that was clearly advertised as needing repair to the bail. The description also stated that the reel needed someone who was capable of fixing the bail.
The buyer is returning it because of the faulty bail and ebay is allowing it. The buyer knew what they were buying and got exactly what was described, yet ebay is allowing the buyer to return it....and charge me for the return. Not right.
Surely if a real person examined this case the return would not be required.

After looking at this listing, I was not able to see where the actual condition was listed. Example: new, used, etc. What is in the listing is that the Buyer would be covered by the eBay 30-day Money Back Guarantee.
I realize the condition is mentioned in the title and description. But if the actual Condition field had been filled in with For Parts or Not Working, you would have been covered.
Because that isn't the case, when the Buyer opens an Item Not as Described refund request, the Seller has only three business days to respond with either a prepaid return label or a refund. If the Buyer returns the item and it's actually exactly as described, you still need to issue a full refund. Then you can report the Buyer for misuse of the Money Back Guarantee.
By refunding them you will get most of your selling fees back. By reporting them you should receive at least a partial refund for the return label from eBay.
