Difficult Buyer - how to handle
I have a buyer who sent me a lowball offer. Used the words 'all in' and I mistakenly misunderstood that he wanted shipping included. As a sneaker reseller, he knew that Ebay doesnt allow me to select for the seller to pay shipping on shoes. So, he wanted me to further discount his offer. I explained that $400 was my floor price. He acknowledged that price and accepted the offer (with him paying shipping). When negotiating, he said that he was ready to pay, money in hand, etc... Now, he is refusing to pay until the last minute because of having to pay shipping. Even though he accepted the offer and the conditions. Basically for $15 he is holding me hostage. I realize this is within the rules. Besides being extremely petty, there is nothing I can do. My concern is more that he will leave me a bad review when he gets the shoes. Regardless of the perfect condition. Can I film myself boxing them and taking them to FedEx or what can I do to prove my side of the story? Is it worth having a negative event on my account that I've had for 23 years by cancelling the order?

Mentor3 years agoYou don't ship until he pays. On day 5, if you haven't received payment, select the reason that the buyer hasn't paid from the cancel order options. He'll earn an unpaid item strike and you can move on.
