Different address then what buyer has on file
Buyer messaged me to not send item to CA. She then stated to send to address in Tx. Is it okay for me the seller to print new label with the address she requested? Item is paid for in full

Mentor2 years agoHi @mamabucks9480 Just to make it perfectly clear, if you were to ship to any address other than what eBay supplied with the transaction, you would lose your seller protections. If you shipped to the Texas address and the buyer then filed an Item Not Received, you would automatically lose, even if you had tracking to the Texas address. Sellers are to ship ONLY to the address provided by eBay that automatically appears on the eBay shipping label.
As @gosimus alludes, there were too many scams running with people other than the legitimate buyer sending the seller authentic looking messages asking to have the item sent to a different address. eBay put an end to its participation by voiding seller protections if the seller ships to a different address.
It's logistically cumbersome, but in order to salvage this transaction, you must cancel for Problem with buyers address, as stated by @rfmtm, relist the item and the buyer must re-buy. Before re-buying, the buyer must go to their account settings and update their shipping address, or they must update it during checkout. Kind of a pain, but better than you losing both your item and your money. Good luck!

Check to verify that the message is actually from your buyer. It could be a third party trying to pull a fast one.

Mentor2 years agoNo, cancel the transaction for an address problem, which will also refund the buyer. Then relist for buyer to purchase again with the correct address. This preserves you ebay seller protection.
