Did not receive package refund claim.

Question

I bought an item on ebay last week and it turns out the item was not for sale. The seller forgot to remove the listing for it. The seller apologized for that and said that I need to file a Did Not Receive Refund Claim with ebay in order for ebay to cancel the order and send me a refund. I have all the information for the transaction.

I received a Cancel I.D.# from ebay:

5332829798. Can you help me with this?

It would be a lot quicker for the seller to file a Cancel Order for Out of Stock. You would then be refunded immediately. In order to file an Item Not Received case, you would have to wait until after the last estimated delivery date. Then the seller has 3 days to refund you. If no refund, you go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
