did not receive an item that was ship 4 months ago and did not contact me until today?
I sold an item and tracking has it shipped on 9-5-2024 and the person contacted me today and said he did not receive the item. It has been 4 months . How should i handle this he just sent me a email today 1-16-2025

You should still be able to see the tracking. Was the item ever delivered? If yes, let the buyer know that they must contact the carrier for assistance.
The buyer will not be able to open a claim and you won’t have a way to refund through eBay - you can only refund for up to 90 days. They can go to their credit card issuer and most likely get a dispute opened. That may actually be the only way to refund the buyer’s payment, since you also can not exchange contact info after 90 days.
