Did I not create an account?
Summary: za-293757 expressed concern about potentially creating and then losing access to an account, after entering personal information to make a purchase. They were unsure if they bought something as a guest by mistake. inceptions and disneyshopper suggested using the user ID for login and advised za-293757 to check the email associated with the account through settings if access is regained. za-293757 mentioned they did not remember setting up a user ID and relied on email or Google for login.
A few days ago, I thought I created an account using this email. I added my street address, phone number, and debit card number, and I was literally about to buy something, but the seller was on a break. I came back today and tried to sign in with it, but it didn't work. I have no emails from ebay, and nothing saying I did. I even tried other emails that I thought I might have used, but nothing. Was I buying as a guest somehow and not realizing it? Is there some other way I could log in? Like my phone number? I even have a password written down.

You can't use the same email for two different accounts. If you purchased as a guest, you would have had to provide an email and you would have received email messages from eBay.
You can try contacting customer support to see if they can help.

Try logging out and then logging in with the user ID you set up a few days ago instead of your email. If your password doesn't work, use the link on the login page to get password help so that you can change it.
IF you are able to access the account, go to your Account Settings to check the email you used and make a change if needed.

OP3 weeks ago · EditedI don't remember setting up a user ID for the other one. The one with this account was set up automatically when I made it. I didn't check to see what the other one was because I had assumed I'd be able to log in with my email and password or by using Google. I've also already tried basically everything I would've thought to use as a username.
