designated payment method
I use my PayPal account to pay for bidding and buying on eBay. I do this so I can pay over time for higher priced items. When it is straight forward bidding everything works fine and it is purchased through my PayPal account. However, if the item wants you to designate a payment method and I choose PayPal, the total purchase price is taken directly out of my checking account and I do not get to space the payments out over time. I have stopped bidding on items that have this feature as I do not allow anyone to have access to my checking account. I have talk to customer service at PayPal and eBay. PayPal refers me back to eBay and stated it is their issue. eBay referred me back to PayPal and stated it was their issue. I have done all the recommended steps requested and it did not stop. Is there a way to make the purchase go directly to PayPal credit?

Mentor9 months agoWhen the seller is using the Autopay requirement for their auctions you are not able to use PayPal credit directly. You get one hour from the end of the auction to change the payment method before the autopay is taken from your account.
