Description of condition of books
Condition of books.
You need to tell your sellers that book descriptions must be accurate. When a book is described as "mint" that means that it has no defects and is new and never opened or read. If a price is based on a faulty description of a book, that is objectionable.
In addition, when I ask for a book to be shipped in a suitable cardboard box, that doesn't mean a plastic bag with nothing else on it.
Please.

Be sure to check those sellers' feedbacks. I collect books too. When a seller sends my book in a box, I always mention that in the feedback I give them. Actually, I mention it for any item, not just a book.

Mentor2 years agoI'm sorry, but eBay will not see your post. This is a group of buyers and sellers who answer questions. I agree with you 100%, but it is impossible to police all listings. All I can tell you is to buy from a seller who has the book in their possession. The large mega-book-sellers have warehouses and ship from different locations. They may not even have the book in their hands, but send a message to another warehouse. Check feedback before deciding on a seller.
I sell books and put each one in a plastic bag and cover it with cardboard before putting it in an envelope/bag. Some get boxed if they are too large. I am a collector too, so I ship the way I want to receive it.
