Denied refund for item I returned

I I ordered item. changed mind. requested cancellation. seller shipped item. received it at USPS. mar. 20. I returned item mar. 20 at USPS. UNOPENED. seller will not refund me for item. said he did not get it. maybe it was lost in transit. unfair that he gets keep my money when item was returned. I will have do tracking at USPS of item to see if seller received item. I liost 51.00 and eBay closed my case . I will be closing my account.

Did you file an Ebay Return Request and if so, does tracking indicate that the seller received the returned item? If there is no tracking to prove the returned item was delivered to the seller, then Ebay was able to close your case.
