delivery delay
I shipped a package that should have arrived September 14 and is scheduled for delivery today September 21st. The buyer is upset with me but I have no control with USPS. What can I do to comfort the buyer?

I agree with @comics-scifi-collectibles to apologize for USPS's delivery delay.
-Did you purchase your label through eBay? If so tracking was uploaded to the sold file automatically.
-Did you ship within your handling time?
-If the package gets stuck in transit immediately go to the USPS website and file a Missing mail piece claim, sometimes that shakes things loose.
-Late last year eBay launched a new Seller protection in the event a Buyer files a claim that they did not receive their item on time and a Seller has to refund them through that claim. Here is the basic explanation of that protection:
If the following criteria is met eBay will reimburse you if the package is eventually delivered after you have refunded a Buyer through an eBay claim that they did not receive their package AND delivery is confirmed through tracking on eBay. eBay launched this new Seller protection in late 2025.
1. Seller prints the shipping label through eBay
2. Seller ships and gets a carrier scan within their Handling time
3. Buyer files a claim through eBay that they did not receive their package AND the Seller refunds the Buyer through the eBay claim
4. The package is delivered later and after the Buyer has been refunded, eBay tracking confirms the delivery

Has the buyer filed a not received refund request case?
