Delivered wrong
So I ordered a set of rims for my car and the delivery driver placed them at the bottom landing of the staircase that goes to me and one other neighbors condo. Also where they placed them is in front of my bottom 2 neighbors units and a couple inches from the parking lot. Needless to say when i returned home from work that night they were gone. I know that had the delivery driver carried them up the stairs and actually placed them in front of my door like they should have they would nit have been stolen. But now since the driver was that lazy to just leave them at the bottom of the stairs now I have this mess on my hands and still no rims. Ebay is saying they wont help does anyone kniow my next step?

Mentor4 months agoNormally what glorybells posted applies, but if you have proof that the carrier was negligent by leaving them in a totally unsafe place when you provided a proper safe place for delivery you can file a negligence claim with the carrier and/or you credit card company.
I have done this before when item were left at the curb or left in front of a closed business on a weekend and the carrier pay the claim each time. Note you may have to appeal it, and if the seller used ebay UPS or FedEx have to hammer on ebay who is the shipper of record.

·4 months agoAbout all you can do is file a police report. Neither eBay or the seller are responsible for items stolen after delivery. Once the item receives a delivery scan no insurance through the carrier would pay out, nor can you file a chargeback through your credit card. Any of these will see the delivery scan and close the case.
