Delaying a shipment for buyer

Buyer purchased item and sent a message asking me to delay shipping the item because they will be out of town until Nov 8. My shipping and handling timeframe is 2-3 days. Can I delay shipping without penalty? If so, how?

Hi @back2coolvtg

You have to ship within your Handling time to avoid a Late shipping defect by not having tracking uploaded and validated within your Handling time. Message the customer and let them know this is eBay's rule not yours.

Buyers have the option to have their mail HELD at the Post Office if they will be out of town. That's what we've done when we've gone on vacation.

Ask the Buyer to message you and request a cancellation so you can do that without a strike on your account, they can then purchase upon their return.
