Delayed shipping
Customer has paid for an item but does not want it shipped until after Christmas....Do I just wait til then to purchase shipping label?

Mentor2 years ago@Anonymous You need to advise your buyer that per eBay policy you must ship within your stated handling time or you get a demerit on your account for late shipping.
These are the options that I offer buyers when they ask for a delay after they have paid>
1. Ask the post office to hold their mail, this is what I do when I am out of town.
2. Cancel the sale, refund the buyer, relist when the buyer is ready to purchase. I don't like this method as a seller since I have to foot the refund and wait for the buyers funds to clear. Refunds, even for order cancellations, come out of your available funds not pending or held. If you do not have available funds then eBay charges your back up payment method for selling costs.
