Delayed refund on an item
I bought a cell phone that was delayed in shipping by USPS and my existing phone was dead so I couldn't wait for the delay. I contacted the seller and they couldn't get any clarity from their local post office on the shipment, so I ordered another from a different seller. After I placed the order The post office started updating the the tracking on the first order. I ended up receiving both phones on the same day. The first seller accepted returns, so I decided to keep the second phone and return the second. Requested to return the item and the seller issued an RMA and eBay sent me a shipping label to return the item on 11/22/2023. I never opened the box from the first seller with the exception that I sliced open the tape enough to slip the packing list supplied by eBay into the box and then resealed it. Returned to phone the same day, 11/22/23. The seller received the item on 11/27/23 and on 11/29/23 the seller opened a case. I was informed that day by eBay that the refund was delayed but that it should be resolved by 12/9/21. Here we are on 12/17/21 and the status has not changed. I don't understand why this refund is taking this long. I have always received punctual refunds in the past. This order seems jinxed from the get go where it go lost at USPS and now seems to be lost in eBay. Any help on how long it normally takes with these cases or what the delay can be? Thanks.
