Defective return shipping

I have asked the seller to take three defective items back. They have agreed but will not send return label. This was an international order. They are asking me to pay to send items back and the shipping will cost me almost as much as the items did ($244.00). I do not trust that I will get my money back and I see no way to ask ebay to step in.

You are correct not to trust the seller. the seller needs to pay you up front for the shipping. Did you open a case for each item to return it? Follow these steps:

If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
