Defective part
Bought a Honda packed timing belt and water pump kit for my 2012 Honda Accord in June 2022, had a Honda dealer to install on July 7, 2022, on July 10,2023 the belt broke and damaged my engine, can I claim against the seller?

There is only 30 days of ebay buyer protection.
After using it a year, anything could have happened. A mouse chewed the belt, it got too hot or too cold, it wasn’t installed properly, the seller had a dud.
I have never had a dealer install parts I bought elsewhere. I’ve never had any mechanic agree to install parts they didn’t provide.
