defective item
The WM 10 module I ordered arrived inoperative. I contacted the seller and he sent me a replacement battery but the battery was more than 8 and a half years old and was also inoperative. Now he is ignoring my messages after more than a week of inquiries. now I am having no success of contacting EBAY to help with my complaint. What do I do now?

OP10 months agoThank you for the suggestions. It has been since Sep 8 that I got my item and I got a good price on it but the battery is the only bad thing about the order so I just requested that the seller refund me $25 since he sent me an 8.5 year old battery that is inoperative. I know he made an attempt but he should have known that an 8.5 year old battery was going to be bad more likely than not. The manufacturer date is stamped right on the battery. A new battery will cost me more than $25 with shipping and handling so I am just looking for the simplest solution. I do know about disputing a charge with my bank so I guess that is my next step since both the seller and Ebay are both silent on the order.

If you are still within 30 days of receiving the item … then file a return request from your Purchase History, choosing ‘Doesn’t match description or photos’ as the reason for the request.
If it’s been longer than 30 days since the item was delivered to you … then contact your credit card company and request a chargeback.
