Defective Chainsaw

I bought a NEOTECH 20" chainsaw on June 22, 2026. I received it in good condition but not in an original package. The box it came in was beat up but if it wasn't for the 1/2" foam insulation I'm sure it would of been damaged during delivery. I notified ebay about it but never received a response. The first time I used the chainsaw was when I first received it. I was impressed by the easy starting and performance. Recently I was in the forest with my wood permit, new chainsaw and trailer when the chainsaw wouldn't start. We spent a good hour trying to start the saw and after pulling the spark plug which was totally soaked with fuel and realized there was no spark at the spark plug. Needless to say I was very disappointed and had to return home WITHOUT firewood.
I just noticed the seller has only a thirty day return policy, I understand this but I wasn't aware the chainsaw would last after only one use. I've tried to contact the seller but it seems they don't want to take care of this matter. I've been an ebay customer for years and have never had such an experience. I did let the seller know that I would like a similar replacement chainsaw instead of a refund and that the saw I have is repacked in the box it came in and ready to return. I hope this message reaches someone who can help me with this matter.

eBay provides a 30-day money-back guarantee to cover these sorts of issues.
You could have opened a return request and gotten a refund or a replacement in the 30 days.
I know mechanical outdoor equipment needs regular maintenance.
Spark plugs can be covered with fuel when the engine is flooded from too many start attempts.
Have you had the spark plug changed? It might be a simple maintenance issue.
